The Red Dot Design Award is the largest design competition in the world that started in Germany in 1955 and has been running for 65 years,

 hosted by the North Rhine-Westphalia Design Center. Red Dot judges scrutinize and blindly review over 8,000 works from around the world.

The red dot mark is recognized as an international design certification mark.
